Cash for College Contest Rules
All participants must be 17 years of age or older and must be enrolled at a college or university at the time of entry and at the time of drawing.
Maximum value of Grand Prize is based upon University of Nebraska at Lincoln s instate tuition.
Participants eligible for entry each time they tan between 8/1/2010 and 12/31/2010. Participants must show student ID to receive entry form. Participant is responsible for asking for an entry form. Entry form must be filled out at time of tanning session. No entry forms will be given out retroactively even if tanning session occurred during eligible dates.
Persons may win only one prize from Cash for Class contest. In the event that person s name is drawn more than once, the first prize won must be accepted, forfeiting subsequent winnings.
Prizes must be claimed within 30 days, and must be accepted as is or forfeited.
Winners are responsible for any and all taxes incurred as a result of their winnings. Each winner of prize(s) valued at or with a combined value of at least $600 will receive an IRS 1099 form at the end of the calendar year. Some prizes may require the winner to pay sales tax in addition.
All winners must meet all Max Tan Contest eligibility requirements, which include but are not limited to, providing picture identification, social security number, proof of current college/university enrollment and signing a release form in order to receive the prizes won.
Winners of Max Tan Contests, by their acceptance of prize(s), release Max Tan inc. to use their name and likeness in any or all salon publicity surrounding the Contest promotion.
The decisions of Max Tan inc. Management are final.
Max Tan inc. employees and their relatives are ineligible to win the prizes.
Max Tan inc. reserves the right to stop the promotion at any time for any reason, including a national disaster, terrorist activity (or the threat thereof), or any other event reasonably beyond the control of the salon.
In the event Winner is subject to any order or legal process issued by any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the affairs of Winner (i.e. - garnishment, child support order, judgment, lien, and the like), Salon’s delivery of prizes to the official representative of the governmental entity claiming a right to the prizes shall be deemed to be awarding the prizes to Winner. Salon shall be entitled to rely in good faith upon any documents presented by the representatives seeking to collect prizes in lieu of Winner. Salon shall not be liable for any claim by Winner for damages incidental thereto.
In consideration of being permitted to participate in Contest, all participants, for themselves, their personal representatives, heirs, spouse, parents, siblings, and children, hereby, RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE Max Tan inc. of Lincoln, Inc. and their officers, directors, trustees, agents and employees, -- all of whom shall be referred to as “Releasees†-- from all liability to the participant, his personal representatives, assigns, heirs, parents, siblings, spouse, and children for any and all loss or damage, and any claim or demands therefore on account of injury to the participant’s person, his death or damage to his property, which occurs as a result of the participant’s presence at Contest, or participation in any Contest sponsored/conducted activity, whether such death, injury or property damage is caused by the negligence or other wrongful conduct of, or breach of contract or warranty by, one or more of the Releasees. PARTICPANT ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE arising out of or related to the participant’s presence at Contest, or participation in any Contest sponsored/conducted activity, whether caused by the Releasees’ negligence, breach of contract or warranty or other legal theory.
By entering Contest, each contestant agrees to comply with the all Contest rules.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. All prizes are non-transferable. No cash or other substitutions are allowed. Prizes have no cash value. Odds of winning are dependent upon the total number of contestants who enter Contest.
